Wreck backs up traffic
VIENNA -- Traffic was backed up for more than a mile on state Route 11 after a sport utility vehicle flipped over, blocking the northbound lanes. The driver, Christine M. Athey, 51, of West Main Street, New Waterford, was treated at a Warren hospital for minor injuries, the Ohio State Highway Patrol reports. The accident occurred about 5 p.m. Monday, just south of state Route 82, backing up traffic almost to Tibbetts Wick Road in Liberty Township. Athey was northbound in a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer at about 65 mph when she tried to switch from the right to the left lane. When a vehicle behind her came into her vision, she overcorrected, causing the SUV to flip, the patrol said.
