SCOPE to host senior art show



WARREN -- SCOPE Inc. will be the host for the annual four-county art show for senior citizens Monday through Oct. 25.
The show is open to residents of Ashtabula, Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties who are at least 50 years old. Entries must have been completed since the contestant's 50th birthday and are limited to three items per category. Registration fees are $3 per category and 50 cents per item.
The entry deadline is Friday. Pictures should be framed and wired. An awards ceremony will be at 1 p.m. Oct. 25 at the SCOPE Senior Center, 220 W. Market St., Warren.
The categories are acrylic painting, ceramics, crochet, drawing, embroidery, knitting, oil painting, pastel painting, photography, quilting, silk floral arrangements, watercolor painting, weaving, woodwork, needlepoint, sculpture and an open category.
Entries may be brought to SCOPE centers in Warren, Niles, Howland, West Farmington and Liberty; the Senior Center of Mahoning County in Youngstown; the Columbiana County Office on Aging in Salem; the Ceramic City Senior Center in East Liverpool; the Jefferson Senior Center, the Country Neighbor Program in Orwell or the Ashtabula Senior Center.
