CANFIELD Man faces DUI charge

Another Canfield man is also facing a DUI charge.
CANFIELD -- Police arrested a 23-year-old Canfield man on a charge of driving under the influence after they found him lying in bushes following a motorcycle crash.
City police said Martin Eberth IV of Herbert Road faces charges of a second DUI in a year, driving under suspension and a third failure to control in a year when he goes to court Wednesday.
Eberth was on his street near Coral Way about 9:30 p.m. Sunday when he crossed the center line, hit a curb and slid his motorcycle, police said. Medical and police personnel who showed up could not find him until a Canfield EMT used a thermal imaging camera to detect him in a yard on Blueberry Hill.
He told police he was returning home from a Boardman bar and had swerved to avoid hitting a squirrel.
City police had arrested another Canfield man for driving drunk in a separate episode Saturday after he scored a .181 on a breath alcohol test. It is illegal to drive with a limit higher than .10.
Dennis A. Bella, 55, of Easy Street, faces two charges of DUI, two charges of drug abuse, a drug paraphernalia charge and two driving citations when he goes to court Wednesday.
Police said he was swerving, and stopped him on Hood Drive near East Main Street. They found suspected cocaine, a straw and a knife in his pocket and suspected marijuana, suspected cocaine, a scale, a screen, a razor knife, a credit card, film canisters and scissors in a duffel bag.
