AUCTIONS
XNativity of Christ Orthodox Catholic Church, 272 Miller Ave., Youngstown, will hold a Chinese auction Sunday. Doors will open at 1 p.m., and the auction will begin at 3 p.m.
XOhio American Indian Council, 50761/2 Center Road, Lowellville, will hold a benefit auction beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday at the headquarters, state Route 224, three miles east of Poland. There are no entrance fees. Parking, food and a bake sale will be available.
XSt. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2053 North Road N.E., Warren, will hold a Chinese auction Sunday. Doors open at 3 p.m. and drawings begin at 4.
XYoungstown Area Tropical Fish Society will hold its annual fall auction Sunday at the Lordstown Administration Building, Salt Springs Road. Registration will begin at 11 a.m. with the auction following at noon. Food will be available, and there will be raffles. BAZAARS
XJohnston Federated United Methodist Church, 6262 Kingsville Road, north of Routes 5 and 88, will sponsor a country church bazaar starting at 2 p.m. Saturday. A family-style dinner with roast beef, squash, mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, dessert, beverage and salad bar will be available from 3 to 6:30. XTrinity Lutheran Church, 56 N. Chestnut St., Niles, will hold its annual fall bazaar from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be crafts, homemade soup, a trash and treasure sale and a bake sale. Lunch will be served.
CARD/BINGO PARTIES
XSt. Brendan Church Altar and Rosary Society will hold a card and bingo party at 2 p.m. Sunday at Maxwell Hall, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown. Tickets are $4 and include lunch. Entrance is at the back parking lot.
XSt. Patrick Altar Guild will hold a card and bingo party with a salad buffet from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church social hall, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. CRAFT SHOWS
XCrafters-vendors are needed for a craft show to be held at Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 16. Tables range from $10 to $20 for 4 to 8 feet. For information call (330) 856-2597.
XSt. Charles Home and School Association will sponsor a craft show from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Father Haidet Hall, 7345 Westview Drive, west of Southern Park Mall, Boardman. There will be a bake sale, raffles and food. Admission is free.

FUND-RAISERS
XThe Arts Council of Youngstown and Mahoning County will hold an "Arts and Flowers" fund-raiser from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Youngstown State University McDonough Museum of Art on Wick Avenue. Featured will be the museum's current exhibition of works by Ohio painters, and a variety of entertainment by area dancers, poets, musicians and singers. There will be refreshments of wine, cheese, desserts and a selection of beverages, and a drawing will be held for floral arrangements provided by local florists. XYoungstown Section of the National Council of Negro Women will hold its 26th annual membership luncheon Saturday at the Brentford House, 737 Myron St., Hubbard, beginning with a Chinese auction from 11 a.m. to noon. Guest speaker will be Atty. Kimberly Manigualt, legal administrator for Mahoning County Child Support Enforcement Agency. NIGHTS AT THE RACES
XMary Mother of Hope Parish, North Beaver Street, New Castle, Pa., will sponsor a night at the races at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Cost is $5 per person and includes food and beverages. Horses are $10 each and may be purchased individually or in a group. Tickets and horses are now on sale after all Masses and in the parish office from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. XYWCA of Salem will sponsor a trip to the State Theater in Cleveland for the "Radio City Christmas Spectacular" Dec. 14. Cost is $90, and a nonrefundable deposit of $50 is due by Oct. 29 with final payment due Nov. 21.
