WVU delayed
MORGANTOWN, W.Va. -- West Virginia's bleary-eyed football players and coaches returned to campus Sunday evening, more than 18 hours after their charter flight from New Jersey was delayed.
The Mountaineers originally boarded the plane at 9 p.m. Saturday after their 40-0 victory over Rutgers. However, the team sat on the aircraft for about six hours before taking a bus back to a hotel in Piscataway, N.J.
The problems forced the coaching staff to miss its Sunday film sessions and delay the start of preparations for next Saturday's home game against Syracuse.
