Candidates seeking election to Ohio's 33rd Senate district and area Ohio House seats have been invited to attend. Each candidate will make and opening statement and then have the opportunity to respond to written questions from the public before a closing statement.
OCT. 217 p.m.East Palestine Memorial Public Library, 309 N. Market St.
Candidates for state, county and local offices have been invited as well as city officials. The bulk of the evening will be a 45-minute question-and-answer period in which public officials will answer written questions from the audience.
Relevant issues: State funding for library operations; House Bill 274, the concealed-carry weapons law; and House Bill 482, a bill that would prevent government agencies and political subdivisions from providing services and materials that can be provided by the private sector.
