KENDA ERKARDROBERT PICKARD JR.
CANFIELD -- Kenda Erkard and Robert D. Pickard Jr. were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 7 at Old North Church with the Rev. James Bowie officiating.
The bride is a daughter of Minnie Erkard of Youngstown and the late Elvin Erkard. Mr. Pickard is a son of Robert Pickard Sr. of Cleveland and Darlene Pickard of Youngstown.
A reception followed at St. Nicholas Byzantine Church Center in Youngstown. The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and are living in Boardman.
Given in marriage by her uncle, Alvin Erkard, the bride wore an A-line gown fashioned with a tank-style bodice.and a chapel train.
Honor attendants were Stacey Shells, and Karen Hobard. They wore silver gowns. Bridesmaids gowned in lavender were Kelley Erkard, Judy Bowie, Janice Jones, Andrea Erkard, Mika Pickard and Angela McCoy. Amber Bowie was flower girl, and junior bride was Anna Baldwin.
Best men were JaWaun Hightower and Terry Carter. Groomsmen were Jonathan Bentley, Claude Bentley, Patrick Pickard, Kevin Knotts, Kevin Parker and the groom's father. Donovan Pickard was ring bearer, and junior groom was Joshua Erkard. Andre Erkard and Morgan Richardson were ushers, and also participating were India Cooper, Brianna Barron and Erica Smallwood.
A graduate of Youngstown State University, Mrs. Pickard is a senior department manager for J.C. Penney in Boardman.
Her husband attended YSU and is a customer-service representative at Harrington Benefits, Boardman. He served in the U.S. Navy.
