CANFIELD
Sept. 30
Theft: A laptop computer was reported stolen from the computer lab at Canfield Middle School, 32 Wadsworth St.
Oct. 1
Theft: Someone stole Halloween decorations from a residence in the 600 block of Blueberry Hill Drive.
Oct. 2
Forgery: A couple in the 90 block of North Hillside Drive reported four checks bearing their forged signatures had been cashed at their bank. Each check was written for $500.
Oct. 5
Burglary: An 18-speed mountain bike was stolen after a garage was entered in the residential 100 block of Garwood Drive.
Drug abuse/drug paraphernalia: Four juveniles were handed over to a guardian after a traffic stop on Fairground Boulevard. A 16-year-old boy was arrested over a small bag of suspected marijuana and rolling papers.
Oct. 6
Theft: A purse containing a cell phone was reported stolen from a dance at Canfield High School, 100 Cardinal Drive.
AUSTINTOWN
Sept. 29
Theft: A DVD player was stolen from Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Drug offense: A male suspect was arrested on two summonses for drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia at Ohltown and Turner roads.
Sept. 30
Abandoned vehicle: A 1985 Lincoln Continental with no plates was left at Austintown Muffler, 4428 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Numerous school buses were damaged and keys stolen at the bus garage, 5800 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: A paycheck was stolen in the 800 block of Niles-Canfield Road.
Criminal damage: A window was broken on a vehicle at Bob K's, 1665 S. Raccoon Road.
Drug abuse: Police charged an Austintown man on a warrant out of Mahoning County Sheriff's Department with drug abuse of suspected cocaine.
Oct. 1
Warrant: Police arrested a man and placed him in Mahoning County Jail on a warrant out of Mahoning County Court for failure to appear in a drug paraphernalia charge.
Criminal damage: A glass door was broken at the Austintown branch of the Mahoning County Library, 5650 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: An AM-FM CD player was stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of Moorefield Road.
Criminal damage: A window and door handle were damaged in the 1000 block of Moorefield Road.
Assault: A 15-year-old boy was the victim in an incident in the 1000 block of Laurelwood Place.
Warrant: Police arrested a man on a warrant from the county sheriff's department on a probation violation.
Theft: Various items were stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Nantucket Boulevard.
Breaking and entering: Three service trucks were broken into at Sears, 4160 Interstate Blvd.
Theft: A CD was taken from an unlocked vehicle in the 4000 block of Wording Court.
Burglary: A door was pried open and jewelry and firearms taken from a residence in the 2000 block of East County Road.
Burglary: Someone entered a residence in the 700 block of Notre Dame Drive through a basement window and took a variety of coins.
Breaking and entering: A drill was taken from a residence in the 3000 block of Lanterman Road.
Burglary: There were no signs of forced entry, but a briefcase was taken from a residence in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.
Oct. 2
Theft: Police charged a man with theft at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.
Warrant: Struthers police arrested a man on a bench warrant from Mahoning County Court here for petty theft.
Criminal damage: A vehicle was damaged at Lanterman Road and Carlin Drive.
Theft: A 25-inch television was stolen from the Hampton Inn, 880 N. Canfield-Niles Road.
Theft : A welder was stolen from a vehicle parked in the 2000 block of Penny Lane.
Drug abuse: Police arrested a Canfield woman on theft, drug abuse and deception to obtain charges, all felonies, for incidents at Wal-Mart. She was arrested at McQuaids gas station.
Receiving stolen property: Police arrested a man on a receiving stolen property charge at North Meridian and Lanterman roads.
Theft from auto: A total of 90 gallons of diesel fuel were stolen from the TATravel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.
Theft: A television from a room at the Best Western, 870 N.
Canfield-Niles Road.
Oct. 3
Burglary: A television and VCR were taken as well as the keys to a 1993 Pontiac Grand Am in the residential 4000 block of Nantucket Drive.
Burglary: A television, a VCR and jewelry were taken from a residence in the 600 block of Notre Dame Drive.
Attempted burglary: A window was damaged at a residence in the 5000 block of Colgate Drive.
Theft: Temporary tags were stolen from a vehicle in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.
Criminal damage: Damage to landscape and shrubbery was reported in the 3000 block of Timberlane.
Breaking and entering: The main door was smashed out and currency and an amplifier were stolen at Car Tunes, 30 N.

Oct. 4
Theft: An employee was taking money from a cash drawer at Kmart, 4475 Mahoning Ave.
Theft: Halloween decorations were stolen from a residence in the 600 block of North Turner Road.
Theft: Mail as reported stolen from a residence in the 5000 block of London Drive.
Possession: Police arrested a man on a summons for possession of suspected marijuana on Idlewood Road.
Oct. 5
Theft: A stereo, speakers and amplifier were stolen from a vehicle parked in the 100 block of South Meridian Road.
Breaking and entering: Tools and a list of additional items were stolen from the National Trailer Sales, 168 S. Meridian Road.
Vehicle theft/theft: A 1988 Chevrolet van was stolen and later recovered, and tools also were stolen from 168 S. Meridian Road.
