HINCKLEY -- The Boardman High boys golf team fired 319 to finish fourth in the Division I district golf tournament Wednesday at Pine Hills Golf Club.
The Spartans advanced to the state tournament next week, along with district winner St. Ignatius, which scored 295, Uniontown Lake (305) and Wooster (314).
Tim Morrow led Boardman with a 76. Teammates Vick Daprile and Ari Papadopoulos each had 80, while Brian Soller and Crag Soller carded 83 and 91, respectively.
Baytos shoots 76
CANTON -- Warren Kennedy High's Kelly Baytos shot a 76 in district play at Tam 'o Shanter Golf Course, earning a third-place finish and a berth in the state tournament next weekend.
Baytos, who qualified for the district tournament all four years, will make her second trip to Ohio State's Gray Course.
