MIDLAND, Pa. -- Roosevelt Kirby pumped in 20 points and pulled down six rebounds Friday, to lead the East Liverpool High basketball team to a 51-46 victory over Springfield at the Midland Holiday Tournament.
Josh Reed scored 15 and Scott Scales had 10 for the Potters (1-0).
Dave Rispinto made four 3-pointers for 12 points for the Tigers (0-1). He also made four assists and three rebounds.
Dan Schuler scored 11 points, made five assists and pulled down eight rebounds.
McDonald 77, Girard 52
GIRARD -- Kevin Stonestreet connected for 34 points as McDonald rolled to victory.
Nick Testa chipped in with 17 points and Ken McKay 10 to reinforce the Blue Devils (1-0).
Nick Cretella managed 11 points for Girard (0-1).
