Summary of police activity:
GIRARD
Nov. 23
Assault: A woman in the 100 block of South Davis Street called 911, alleging that her boyfriend punched her twice in the face after he wanted money and she refused to give it to him. Both victims suffered swelling, as well as various cuts and bruises.
Criminal damage: An employee at Amen Corner, 408 S. State St., reported that a man tossed a beer bottle through a window at the business.
Vandalism: Someone damaged a fence on the edge of a property line at Little Peppino's Restaurant and Pizzeria, 728 N. State St.
Attempted theft: An employee at Girard Book and News Stand, 101 N. State St., reported that a man tried to steal several cigars and fled the store after being confronted.
Nov. 24
Theft: A man in the 500 block of Joan Street reported numerous drills, hammers and saws, as well as jewelry and other items, missing from his work van.
Criminal damage: A man reported that a rear door to his rental property in the 500 block of Washington Avenue was kicked in and that a door and lock were broken.
Criminal mischief: A woman reported that someone used a toy gun to shoot a wet substance at her windshield as she drove on North Highland Avenue. Also, a man in the same area reported that someone hit his vehicle with an unidentified oily substance.
Nov. 25
Theft: Three 11-year-old boys were charged with theft after three cans of beef jerky and assorted candy were stolen from Dollar General discount store, 501 Church Hill Road.
Vandalism and threats: A woman in the 300 block of Illinois Avenue accused her daughter's former boyfriend of using a key to damage her vehicle's driver-side door and using a cigarette to make several burn marks on the car. She also alleged he made numerous phone calls threatening to harm both women.
Theft: A radiator, two tires on rims, two antique bumpers and a grill panel were stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 10 block of West Kline Street.
LIBERTY
Nov. 19
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 19-year-old Girard woman on a domestic violence charge after another woman in the 3300 block of Fifth Avenue alleged the suspect punched her in the face during an argument. A man who attempted to intervene received a scratch on his back.
Criminal damage: A vehicle's window was broken while it was parked at Valley Counseling Services Inc., 4970 Belmont Ave.
Criminal damage: A car's hood, windshield and passenger-side window were smashed while it was parked at West Fork Roadhouse, 3850 Belmont Ave.
Theft: Someone removed a 60-inch TV and a home-theater stereo system from a delivery truck parked at Rentway, 2718 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A woman in the 4700 block of Fifth Avenue reported that she let her daughter use her car and that her daughter failed to return it.
Nov. 20
Arrest: Police arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown man on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and other traffic charges after his vehicle was in an accident. He also was charged with obstructing business.
Bad check: An employee at Thane Sign Co., 1600 E. Liberty St., reported receiving a $2,662 check from another business and that the check was returned for insufficient funds.
Identity theft: A Youngstown man alleged his daughter fraudulently used his identity to open three charge accounts.
Nov. 21
Arrests: A 45-year-old Austintown man was arrested after an employee at First National Bank, 3718 Belmont Ave., accused him of trying to pass a $400 stolen check. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found suspected crack and a suspected crack pipe in his possession. Police also discovered that a 22-year-old Youngstown man was wanted on a charge of driving under a suspended license.
Assault: A woman in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road alleged that her boyfriend shoved her against a kitchen wall and choked her during an argument.
Auto theft: A 2001 Chevrolet Impala was stolen from the driveway of a residence in the 1000 block of Sunny Drive.
Nov. 22
Breaking and entering, theft: Someone forced open a tool shed's door in the 1300 block of East Liberty Street and stole an electric lawn edge, a weed whacker, a lawn mower and a snow blower.
Theft: An employee at Radio Shack, 3551 Belmont Ave., reported that someone stole her driver's license from her purse.
Nov. 23
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing from a residence in the 1900 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road after someone forced open a kitchen door.
Breaking and entering, theft: Someone broke into Posh Places Inc., 4042 Belmont Ave., and stole a computer, a stereo system and 20 compact discs.
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing from Memory Lane Photography, 3622 Belmont Ave., after someone smashed a rear window to gain entry.
Warrants: A 49-year-old Youngstown man was arrested at the Mahoning County Jail on two counts of failure to appear in court to face various traffic charges.
Vandalism: Someone used a vehicle to damage part of a front yard in the 500 block of Murray Hill Drive.
Nov. 24
Warrant: Police arrested a 56-year-old Warren man at a BP gas station on state Route 422 on an outstanding warrant charging him with probation violation.
Arrest: After a traffic stop, police arrested a 31-year-old Youngstown man on one count each of driving under a suspended license and having fictitious license plates. He also was charged with providing false information to a police officer about his identity.
Nov. 25
Theft, criminal damage: An AM-FM CD player was removed from a vehicle, which had its steering column and trunk lock damaged, in the 10 block of Trumbull Court.

Theft: Various items were removed from a vehicle parked at Frankie's Main Street Cafe, 368 N. Main St.
Nov. 20
Possible auto theft: A woman in the 200 block of East Liberty Street reported loaning her vehicle to another woman, who failed to return it.
Theft: A woman reported that a male juvenile stole a pack of cigarettes from a delivery truck on North Main Street.
Nov. 21
Theft: A man reported that someone stole about 300 American flags from the Maple Grove and Old North Cemetery and from an area adjacent to the cemetery.
Criminal damage: Someone damaged a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Christian Avenue.
Nov. 23
Breaking and entering: A man reported that someone broke into his residence in the 100 block of Viola Avenue.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into the ticket booth at a building set up as a haunted house in the 30 block of South Main Street.
