Allison jubilee is celebrated at country club

XCANFIELD -- The golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Allison, 7928 Herbert Road, was celebrated with family and friends during a dinner reception held at 6 p.m. Oct. 26 at Diamond Back Golf Course in Ellsworth.
Arrangements for the festivities were made by the couple's sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Donna Allison of North Jackson and Donald and Debbie Allison of Canfield. Another son, Mike Allison, is deceased.
Among those participating in the event were the Allisons' seven grandchildren.
The former Barbara Kindel and Mr. Allison were united in marriage Oct. 18, 1952, at Canfield Presbyterian Church where they are members.
Mr. Allison served with the U.S. Army in Korea from November 1948 to November 1951. He was a diemaker at United Tool and Die in Salem from 1951 to 1974 and at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown from 1974 until retiring in 1993. He is a member of VFW Post 892 in Salem and of the Korean War Veterans Association.
Mrs. Allison was employed at Truscon Steel from November 1951 to February 1956.
Both have been affiliated with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the past 41 years.
