Perry trustee seeks county recorder job

Wednesday, November 20, 2002

SALEM -- A second Perry Township trustee is announcing his interest in being appointed Columbiana County recorder.
Larry Parker, now serving in his second trustee term, said this morning that he believes he has the expertise to do the job.
Parker, 64, is a retired auto-dealer executive, having owned Parker Chevrolet-Cadillac in Salem.
He wants to finish the remaining two years left on county Recorder Gary Williams' term.
Williams was elected commissioner in November.
Since Williams is a Republican, the county Republican Party has the task of appointing his successor.
The party is expected to decide in early January.
Parker will be vying with his trustee colleague Jeff Hochadel for the job.
