XYOUNGSTOWN -- A reception was held Sept. 28 at The Georgetown in Boardman to honor Alan C. Nastasi and his bride, the former Jamie L. Gardner, following their wedding at St. Columba Cathedral.
Monsignor Lawrence Fye and the Rev. Steven Pressey presided at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of John and Sandy Gardner, 36900 state Route 30, Lisbon, and the son of Frank and Alonora Nastasi, 511 N. Bentley Ave., Niles.
After accepting congratulations the couple left on a wedding trip to Hawaii.
They live at 3678 Apple Valley Drive, Howard.
The bride's white matte satin gown was enhanced with Alencon lace and featured a Queen Anne neckline, long sleeves, an illusion back and a cathedral train.
Plum-colored gowns were worn by the honor attendant, Krista Gardner, and the bridesmaids, Melissa Sullivan, Linda Russell, Annette Hinrichs, Jenny McClintock, Melanie Gamez, Laura VanNess and Elizabeth Geiser. Flower girl was Brittany Telshaw.
Anthony Nastasi served as best man, and groomsmen were Joe Boso, Kipp Krukowski, Dave Hill, Kris Lemmon, David Dawson, Mike Zuccaro and Shawn Nastasi. Ring bearer was Cameron Nastasi.
The bride, a registered nurse at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from Youngstown State University.
The groom graduated from YSU with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering and is a design engineer with Custom Hoists Inc., Hayesville.
