MERCER -- Two men received prison terms in Mercer Common Pleas Court for separate burglaries.
Judge Michael Wherry sentenced Jamie Sullivan, 29, of Fombell to 18 to 190 months for burglarizing two local businesses Jan. 5, 2001.
He pleaded guilty to a burglary at Grove City Motor Sports, 1764 S. Center St. Extension, Springfield Township. He stole shirts and jackets worth $1,496.
He also caused $1,000 damage to the business by throwing a cement block through the windows of two doors to gain entry.
Sullivan also pleaded guilty to a break-in at Pier 19 Restaurant Inc., 2214 Perry Highway, Perry Township. He stole more than $200 worth of beer, wine coolers, cigarettes and miscellaneous items. The two cases were consolidated for sentencing.
Toney Bonner, 42, of Delaware Street, Sharon was sentenced to 21 to 240 months for a July 7, 2001, burglary at a Case Avenue, Sharon, residence, where he stole jewelry worth more than $3,000. The judge also ordered Bonner, who has an extensive criminal record, to make restitution.
