YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lilko of 3209 Meredyth Lane will be honored May 14 at a celebration at the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event will be the couple's children, Kathleen DiToro of St. Paul, Minn.; Robert J. Lilko of Cleveland; James P. Lilko of Youngstown; Cheryl Ann Games of Los Angeles; and Dr. Mary Gursal of Newark. Three grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Lilko and the former Dolores Barko were married May 3, 1952, at St. Edward Church. He attended Youngstown State University and has been in the insurance business since 1960. He also worked for the Youngstown Fire Department for 28 years, retiring in 1980. His wife is a graduate of YSU.
The couple both have served on cancer, heart and lung drives in their neighborhood, and Mr. Lilko served as president of the YMCA Golf League for two years.
The Lilkos are members of St. Christine Church and Tippecanoe Country Club.
