ASSOCIATIONS
XMahoning Retired Teachers Association will hold a luncheon meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Antone's Banquet Centre, 8578 Market St., Boardman. The speaker will be David Travis, executive director of Ohio Retired Teachers Association. There will be a memorial service. Luncheon reservations should be called to (330) 758-7642.
AUXILIARIES
XArmy Navy Auxiliary 29 will hold a department luncheon May 11 at Stutz Restaurant in Massillon. The department picnic will take place June 8 at Conneaut Lake Park's Lakeview Shelter.
XDistrict 8 VFW Auxiliary will meet May 11 for a testimonial dinner in honor of Roger Frye, District 8 commander, and Faye Doyle, auxiliary president, at Western Reserve VFW 1055 in Ravenna.
CLASSES

CLUBS
XWomen's Connection/Christian Women's Club West will meet for a "Beauty is as Beauty Does" luncheon at noon May 14 at the Italian-American Veterans Centre. Featured on the program will be Barb Stevens, Jennifer Ebaugh and Lori Dumas. Reservations for the luncheon and complimentary child care should be made by calling (330) 793-8655 or (330) 793-6381. Cancellations must be made by noon May 13. Cost is $6.50.
XYoungstown After Five Club will hold an Essentials of a Beary Nice Life meeting at 6:30 p.m. May 13 at Theodore's Banquet Center, 1404 Canfield-Niles Road, Mineral Ridge. The speaker will be Nancy Holderfield, music will be presented by Amy Guy, and a special feature will be given by Sally Jackson. The cost is $8.50. XSt. Anthony's Auxiliary of Struthers will hold a Mother's Day banquet at 6:30 p.m. May 14 at Bobby's D's on Midlothian Boulevard. Guests may attend. Minnie Edwards is chairwoman.

XGirard Historical Society will meet at 10 a.m. May 11 at the Girard Free Library, 105 E. Prospect St.
SUPPORT GROUPS
XA meeting of the Second Wind Support Group will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Denny's in Boardman. The guest speaker will be Monica Zaskeroff, a representative of Michael's Crafts.
VETERANS
XNorth Coast WAVES Unit 21 will meet at 11 a.m. May 11 at the 356th Fighter Group Restaurant, Akron-Canton Airport. Jason McCourt will speak on the "Helping Hand." Reservations are due by Monday by calling (330) 757-7827.
