The city's board of control approved these contracts and spending items Thursday:
A credit card for new police Chief Robert Bush Jr.
A $10,000 fa & ccedil;ade grant for Mighty Moe's, a new restaurant in the old Burger King building across from Youngstown State University.
A $10,000 fa & ccedil;ade grant for the Help Hotline Crisis Center, which is renovating its offices and building an addition.
Buying four tractors with brush cutters for $72,315 through the state purchasing contract for the street department.
A $34,825 contract with MS Consultants of Youngstown to study drainage issues in the McGuffey Heights area.
A $76,727 contract with Thomas Fok Associates of Youngstown to test the materials used in the city's street paving project.
A $78,800 contract with Fisher Engineering. The company will design and do construction administration for the rehabilitation of Sheridan Road from Meadowbrook Avenue to Midlothian Boulevard.
Severance of $467 for Stacey Adger, a police patrolwoman who resigned Jan. 13.
Severance of $1,458 for Michiko Essad, a deputy clerk in the clerk of courts office who resigned March 15.
Three-year labor contracts, retroactive to January, for AFSCME Local 2726 and United Steelworkers of America Local 2163-6. Each contract contains the same 4-percent-per-year and 30-cents-per-hour raises and benefits as all other unions, such as the police and fire departments, have received in the past.
