Parole employee charged with DUI



AUSTINTOWN -- A pretrial hearing has been set for an Ohio Adult Parole Board employee who was found passed out in the driver's seat of a car Sunday morning on Westmont Drive.
Edward Cantor Jr. of Pimlico Drive, Youngstown, is charged with driving under the influence (his first offense), driving under the influence with a blood-alcohol level of .17 or more and failure to control his vehicle.
His pleaded innocent to the charges earlier this week in Mahoning County Court here and his pretrial hearing has been set for May 20.
Cantor was found passed out on the steering wheel of a car that had crashed into a guardrail at about 4 a.m. on Westmont Drive. When he woke up, he told police he didn't know where he was or why he had crashed.
