State troopers kick offsafety-belt campaign
The Ohio State Highway Patrol kicked-off zero tolerance safety-belt enforcement today as part of its "What's holding you back?" campaign.
Any driver stopped for a traffic violation who is not wearing a safety belt will be cited.
A statewide survey last year revealed that less than 67 percent of Ohio motorists buckled up.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said wearing a safety belt doubles your chances of surviving a crash without serious injury.
