YOUNGSTOWN -- Dr. Daniel C. Maguire, author of "Sacred Choices: The Right to Contraception and Abortion in Ten World Religions," will speak Friday at a luncheon sponsored by Planned Parenthood of Mahoning Valley Inc. The luncheon is from 11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Jewish Community Center. Maguire is a professor of moral theological ethics at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wis. The cost is $10 a person. Minister to speak
HUBBARD -- The Rev. Bob Schrecengost of Voice of Tomorrow Ministry in Cleveland will speak at a family fellowship banquet at 6 p.m. Friday at the Brentford House. The cost is $9 for ages 13 and up and $6 for ages 5 to 12. The sponsors are Jesus Is the Way Outreach Ministries in Youngstown and New and Living Way Church and Love Christian Church, both in Farrell. Pa. Reservations must be made by Wednesday. Sunrise service
COITSVILLE -- There will be a "Unity in the Community" service at 6 a.m. Sunday sponsored by the Coitsville Historical Society at its National Memorial Garden to 9/11 on U.S. Route 422. Six area churches are to participate. Lilies will be available for $5 to raise money for erecting a flagpole at the site.
Repertory performance
YOUNGSTOWN -- Covenant Players, an international repertory company from Oxnard, Calif., will perform at 10:45 a.m. April 7 at Mahoning United Methodist Church. The repertory company has performed more than a million times in its 35-year history.
Women's conference
YOUNGSTOWN -- Calvary Ministries International's Women's Ministry will present the "Women After God's Own Heart" conference July 11-13 at the Bertram Inn and Conference Center, Aurora. Bus trip to 'Daniel'
