BROOKFIELD
U Announced that open enrollment registration will be April 4 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Stevenson School, 1144 Broadway Ave. Pupils from the following districts qualify for enrollment: Badger, Liberty, Hubbard and Mathews. U Made note of the improvements made on the district's 2002 state report card.
U Accepted donations of $650 from Louis Saloom and George Economides for the basketball programs.
U Announced the retirement resignations of six longtime teachers: Walter Kijowski, 38 years; Mary Hudson, 28; Suzanne Bonaquist, 29; Nancy Chomos, 35; Dorreen Fahndrich, 24; and Margret Strohm, 30.

U Announced improvements in the district's state report card.
U Discussed problems with the climate control systems in two schools and noted that despite some air circulation problems, recent tests show normal levels of carbon dioxide. Thermostats will be regulated and set during Easter break. The board pointed out that payments to the architect and contractors who installed the systems are being withheld until everything is satisfactory.
