CAMPBELL
City council passed a $6.45 million emergency budget for the year ending Dec. 31, 2002. The bulk of the funds will go into the general fund, $3.18 million, and the water fund, $1.41 million.
Other appropriations include:
U Street fund: $371,350.
U Park fund: $281,090.
U Community development fund: $337,500.
U Capital improvement water fund: $195,000.
U Court fund: $121,520.
U Infrastructure and equipment fund: $120,000.
Council's meeting Wednesday was the last for council clerk Judi Clement, who announced her retirement after 32 years of service.
Clement was appointed to 16 consecutive, two-year terms throughout her career. In recognition of her years of dedication, council members presented her with an anniversary clock.
