AUSTINTOWN -- Highway Tabernacle presents the 2002 Passion play "The Promise" with a cast of more than 125, with special computerization, costumes, a set spanning 120 feet, music and drama. Performances are at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, 3 and 7 p.m. next Saturday, and 6:30 p.m. Easter. An offering will be taken. Call (330) 792-2341.
Scrooge sequel
ASHTABULA -- First Assembly of God will present an Easter drama, "Scrooge's Easter Carol," at 7 p.m. today and Sunday. The drama relates how Ebenezer Scrooge handles Easter in a sequel to the Christmas production "A Christmas Carol." Call (440) 275-7720.
Opening announced

Pastoral celebration
YOUNGSTOWN -- Zion Hill Baptist Church will celebrate the seventh pastoral anniversary of the Rev. Lowell T. Williams on Sunday. The guest speaker for the 11 a.m. service will be the Rev. Joseph Davis, pastor of Friendship Baptist Church of Farrell, Pa. The Rev. Mr. Williams' father, Dr. Samuel W. Williams, pastor of New Zion Baptist Church of Pittsburgh, will speak at the 4 p.m. service. Presiding at the 4 p.m. service will be the Rev. Lee Rucker Jr., pastor of New Light Baptist Church, Sharon, Pa.
Community service
GREENVILLE, Pa. -- The Greenville Area Christian Ministerial Association is sponsoring a series of services from noon to 3 p.m. Good Friday at Bethel Life Worship Center.
Pastors from participating churches will each give a 30-minute service that will begin with music selected by that minister. There will be an interlude between each segment. People may come for one or all.
The participating churches are: at noon, First Presbyterian Church; 12:30 p.m., Living Word Fellowship; 1 p.m., First United Methodist Church; 1:30 p.m., Calvary United Methodist Church; 2 p.m., Thiel College campus ministry; and 2:30 p.m., Bethel Life Worship Center.
Good Friday service
HUBBARD -- Grace Lutheran Church is the site of a community Good Friday worship service on "The Seven Last Words" of Christ. The service from noon to 1 p.m. is sponsored by Hubbard Christians in Action, an organization supported by most of Hubbard's churches, both Protestant and Catholic. Call (330) 534-3168.
