Warren PEO Sisterhood elects officers for 2002



WARREN -- The Warren Chapter of Philanthropic Education Organization Sisterhood met March 12 at a member's home for election of officers for 2002.
Dorothy Phillipp will serve as the new president, and her associate officers are Carole Glowe, vice president; Liz Bille, recording secretary; Jean Jones, corresponding secretary; Ladonna Garland, treasurer; Therese Hurlbert, chaplain; and Rosanne Scarnecchia, guard.
The chapter was organized in 1977 and is one of 5,839 chapters in the United States and Canada with over 250,000 active members. Its main purpose is to provide women with increased opportunities for higher education through scholarship awards, loans and special programs for continuing education.
The organization owns and operates Cottey Junior College, a fully accredited liberal arts college for women in Nevada, Mo.
