BOSTON -- Boston's Glen Murray scored his career-best 30th goal of the season to break a second-period tie. John Grahame stopped 29 shots to win a battle of backup goalies, making back-to-back stops from point-blank range with six minutes remaining. Manny Legace made 20 saves for Detroit, which lost for just the second time in 11 games. Brian Rolston also scored for Boston.
Avalanche 2, Flyers 1
PHILADELPHIA -- Brian Willsie scored the go-ahead goal with 4:36 remaining, and Patrick Roy stopped 36 shots for Colorado. Despite getting just one shot in the third period to that point, Colorado took a 2-1 lead when a shot by Brad Larsen deflected off Willsie's stick and past goalie Brian Boucher. Radim Vrbata's 13th goal early in the second tied it at 1. Keith Primeau had the only goal for the Flyers, 4-5-1 since the Olympic break.
Devils 3, Rangers 1
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Petr Sykora scored twice, Randy McKay also scored, Patrik Elias had three assists and Martin Brodeur made 24 saves as the Devils won their third straight game and sent the reeling Rangers to their eighth loss in 11 games. Sandy McCarthy scored for the Rangers.
Canucks 4, Thrashers 2
ATLANTA -- Markus Naslund, who had gone a month without scoring, scored two goals for Vancouver. Daniel Sedin and Artem Chubarov also scored for Vancouver.
J.P. Vigier and Lubos Bartecko scored for Atlanta.
Maple Leafs 5, Stars 5
TORONTO -- Robert Reichel scored twice as Toronto tied Dallas. Brenden Morrow scored twice for the Stars, who rallied from 4-3 and 5-4 deficits in the third period after blowing a 3-1 lead. Ed Belfour replaced Marty Turco in goal after Turco allowed Toronto's third goal in the second period. Turco, who recently replaced Belfour as the starting goalie, allowed three goals on 22 shots.
Gary Roberts, Mats Sundin and Garry Valk also scored for the Maple Leafs, who are unbeaten in their last five games.
Kirck Muller, Scott Pellerin and Derian Hatcher added goals for Dallas.
Canadiens 3, Hurricanes 2
MONTREAL -- Oleg Petrov scored 1:07 into the third period to give Montreal a win over Carolina and sole possession of the eighth and final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.
Richard Zednik and Craig Rivet also scored for the Canadiens, who snapped a four-game winless streak in front of a sellout crowd of 21,273 at the Molson Centre.
Sami Kapanen and Erik Cole scored for the Hurricanes, who lost their first game this month after a six-game unbeaten streak.
Senators 4, Islanders 3
OTTAWA -- Shawn McEachern assisted on all four Ottawa goals.
Curtis Leschyshyn, Todd White, Radek Bonk and former Islanders defenseman Zdeno Chara scored for the Senators in their seventh straight victory over New York.
McEachern's four points gave him 300 in six seasons with Ottawa. The 33-year-old left wing is Ottawa's career scoring leader against the Islanders with 10 goals and 27 assists in 39 games.
Mark Parrish scored twice for the Islanders, and Dave Scatchard added a goal.
