YOUNGSTOWN -- Deborah Dean Gregory-Robinson will give her first sermon at Everlife Worship Center at 5 p.m. March 24. She's married to Minister Dean Robinson of the church and is active in many aspects of the ministry. A seamstress who has recovered from a major stroke, she also owns and operated Deborah Dean's Fashions.
Mime Passion Play
NEWTON FALLS -- The eighth-grade class of Sts. Mary and Joseph School in Newton Falls will perform a Passion Mime Play throughout the Mahoning Valley during Lent. The performances featuring original work are open to the community. The Passion mime is directed by Kay Suzelis, principal at the school, and Jeannine Spalvieri, the eighth-grade teacher at the school. The presentation features original music, which will be available on a CD for the first time.
Performances include: 3 p.m. Sunday at Newton Falls Methodist Church;12:30 p.m. Monday at St. Charles School, Boardman; 7 p.m. Wednesday at First Federated Church, North Jackson; 12:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Aloysius School, East Liverpool; 12:30 p.m. Friday at St. Joseph School, Randolph; 10:30 a.m. March 24 at Trinity Fellowship, Lake Milton; 10 a.m. March 25 at Regina Coeli School, Alliance; 9:45 a.m. March 26 at Heartland Christian School, Columbiana; 10 a.m. March 27 at Sts. Open house set
NORTH JACKSON -- An open house will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday for the new addition to the adult day-care facility started by the Maronite Antonine Sisters.
Eleven years ago the Maronite Antonine Sisters opened their convent in North Jackson to the first few elderly in the area, as an experiment for adult day care.
In 1995, the sisters broke ground on a new facility close to their convent. The new Antonine Sisters' Adult Day Care opened May 27, 1996. The day care operates five days a week from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sisters and staff provide holistic care to elderly regardless of gender, religion, race, handicap and age.
The Patriarch of the Maronite Church, His Eminence Mar Nasrallah Boutros Sfeir, visited North Jackson last February and broke ground for the new addition.
The new addition has a separate entrance and includes a therapy room, a memory room for activities with Alzheimer's participants, and a beauty salon. Humility Health Partners, specifically St. Elizabeth Medical Center therapists, will be in charge of the therapy center.
Heartland benefit
COLUMBIANA -- Heartland Christian School will hold its Sixth Annual Community Auction from 3 to 7 p.m. March 23 in the gymnasium of the school, the former Columbiana High School building.
Antiques, tools, trip certificates, sports collectibles, restaurant and service gift certificates, furniture, and hand-made items will be available for purchase and throughout the day, kids will enjoy a visit from Scrappy, the mascot of the Mahoning Valley Scrappers baseball team.
After six years, Heartland Christian School is now finishing its second year in the former high school building with more than 170 pupils from 20 school districts in three surrounding counties. The school offers classes for pre-school through grade 12.
Parish mission set
GIRARD -- St. Rose Church is having a parish mission, Monday to March 23, with Rev. Adelbert Wolski, as speaker at the 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Mass each day.
Food drive set
NEW SPRINGFIELD -- Emmanuel Lutheran Church's youth group and evangelism team will conduct a scavenger hunt for nonperishable food items for the Springfield Township Food Pantry on March 23. The pantry serves approximately 60 families each month.
Youth programs
YOUNGSTOWN -- A youth workshop and seminar will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. March 23 for grades six to 12 at Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church. The seminar will address violence, education, crime and more. Pre-registration is $5; the cost at the door is $7. Call (330) 782-8929.

YOUNGSTOWN -- The Instruments of Praise of New Bethel Baptist Church will present, "O What Love," a Resurrection Day song service at 6 p.m. Easter.
Spring revival
YOUNGSTOWN -- Union Baptist Church will conduct a spring revival at 7 p.m. April 2 to 4. Pastor Donald Fairbanks from New St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Cincinnati will lead.
Divine Mercy Sunday
CAMPBELL --St. Joseph the Provider Parish will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday on April 7, the Second Sunday of Easter. Eucharistic Adoration will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Services will begin at 3 p.m.
Family and Friends Day
