State H.O.G. rally coming to Erie

ERIE, Pa. (AP) -- The city will play host to thousands of Harley-Davidson motorcyclists when the bikers bring their annual state rally here in August.
Besides bringing black leather and chrome, the Harley Owners Group, Erie Chapter, estimates bikers may bring between $2 million to $3 million to the city. At least 2,600 bikers are expected to visit.
It will be the first time the state H.O.G. rally has been held so far west. Previous rallies have been held in Harrisburg, Gettysburg and Philadelphia.
The bikers have asked to be in a parade during a city festival coinciding with the rally. City officials said a decision hasn't been made.
