Pupil's mother threatened teacher, police reports say

YOUNGSTOWN -- The mother of a first-grade pupil at Sheridan School, 3321 Hudson Ave., barged into a classroom Tuesday afternoon, hollered at a child and threatened the teacher because her daughter was suspended that day for fighting, police said.
According to police reports, the woman's daughter was involved in a fight with a classmate earlier in the day that resulted in three-day suspensions for both children.
Police said the woman entered the classroom unannounced, told her daughter to point out the other child involved in the fight, then yelled to him that he'd better not lay a hand on her daughter.
When the teacher asked the woman to leave the room, she called the teacher a foul name and threatened to "come back and take care of her," police said.
The woman continued hurling foul remarks at the teacher as she took her daughter and left the room.
