DUI guilty plea
AUSTINTOWN -- A 21-year-old Westchester Drive woman pleaded guilty to driving under the influence Monday so drug charges against her would be dropped.
Danielle Voytko had been facing a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia. As a result of her plea, she was ordered to spend three days in jail while also participating in a three-day driving program.
She also was given a 24-day suspended jail sentence and ordered to pay a $350 fine and attend alcohol counseling.
Judge David D'Apolito accepted the plea and sentenced Voytko in Mahoning County Court in Austintown.
Voytko was arrested in October after the car she was driving struck a tree on Willowcrest Drive. Two pipes containing suspected marijuana residue were found in her bag, along with bottles of the prescription drugs clonazepam and Zanaflex. Neither drug was prescribed to her.
