Nominees being sought for award

NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Nominations are now being accepted for the 2002 Women of Distinction Awards.
All nominees be positive role models who have made a difference in the lives of others for girls in Beaver or Lawrence County. The awards are given through the Beaver/Lawrence Girl Scout Council.
One honoree will be selected from each of five categories -- arts, communications/technology, economic development, environment, and human services.
Past honorees have included councilwomen, professors and business women.
Service organizations and businesses or corporations which support and contribute to the lives of women also may be nominated. All Women of Distinction will be honored along with Young Women of Distinction at a reception May 5 at Shakespeare's Pub in North Sewickley Township, Beaver County.
