MAHONING VALLEY Leadership group schedules event



BOARDMAN -- Leadership Mahoning Valley is presenting a Community Trustee Leadership Development Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Holiday Inn Boardman.
Guest speaker will be Rev. James B. Lemler, dean and president of Seabury-Western Theological Seminary, Evanston, Ill.
He is senior religion associate for trustee leadership development at the seminary and is active in Seabury Institute's congregational development programs.
He was educated at DePauw University, Oxford University, Nashotah House Episcopal Seminary and Christian Theological Seminary.
Topics speaker has covered: Lemler has written about leadership, spirituality, congregational life and development, including the article, "Trustee Education and the Congregational Board: Leadership in the Community of Faith."
He has been a leader in the area of religious philanthropy as founding member of the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes and as a consultant to various foundations.
LMV's Programs & amp; Issues Committee hopes to assist community leaders in understanding their work as community trustees.
