BOARDMAN Forum Health to expand Beeghly facility

Beeghly Emergency and Immediate Care Services had 31,000 patient visits in 2001.
BOARDMAN -- Forum Health has begun a $250,000 facility renovation and expansion of services at its Beeghly Medical Park campus in Boardman.
The renovation, which is expected to be done by May, includes a larger, more private triage and registration area and new examination rooms, according to Debora Bishop, manager of marketing and community relations.
Beginning immediately, Forum Health has extended immediate care services to 24 hours a day and incorporated it into the existing 24-hour emergency services, thereby making more rooms available for immediate care patients.
Since opening five years ago, patient visits at Beeghly Emergency and Immediate Care Services has grown. Bishop said Beeghly had 31,000 patient visits in 2001, rivaling the number treated annually at emergency services on major hospital campuses in Youngstown and Warren.
The expansion of services will not result in an increase in the number of employees, Bishop said. Dr. Neal Tishman is director of the Beeghly campus.
