ADVANCED TRAINING
NCO course
Marine Corps Sgt. Thomas W. Toalston, son of Thomas C. Toalston, 6058 Apollo Road, Salineville, graduated from Combat Engineer Noncommissioned Officer Course for supervisors at Camp LeJeune, N.C.
HONORS
Army medal
Sgt. William N. Harrison and Specialist Roth R. Quednau have been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal.
Harrison is a heavy-equipment operator assigned to the 44th Engineer Battalion at Camp Howze, Jori-Myon, South Korea. He is a son of Steve and Sonyo Harrison, 1509 Roemer Blvd., Farrell, Pa.
Quednau, a 1999 graduate of Hubbard High School, is a motor transport operator assigned to the 82nd Engineer Battalion at Camp Edwards, Wollong-Myon, South Korea. He is a son of Becky J. Quednau, 58 Moore St., and grandson of Nellie J. Fox, 1954 Drummond Ave., both of Hubbard.
ON THE JOB
Aboard USS Monterey
FARRELL, Pa. -- Navy Seaman Robert D. Major (Farrell High School, '00), son of Annetta Savage, Farrell, participated in the Atlantic Phase of Unitas, a multination training exercise, as a deck hand aboard the guided-missile cruiser USS Monterey.
