Man is jailed on various drug charges
CAMPBELL -- Nick Mastoris Sr. is charged with four felony counts and three misdemeanors and is in Mahoning County Jail on $810,000 bond after he was arrested with about 9 ounces of suspected cocaine Wednesday.
Mastoris is charged with trafficking drugs, possession of drugs, permitting drug abuse and possessing criminal tools.
He appeared before Judge John P. Almasy in Campbell Municipal Court on Friday for arraignment on all charges.
He pleaded innocent to the misdemeanors: one count each of drug abuse instruments, drug paraphernalia and resisting arrest.
Officers from the Campbell Police Department and the Mahoning County Violent Crimes Task Force, along with Drug Enforcement Administration and FBI agents executed a search warrant for Mastoris around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
They found him at a Robinson Road residence. Police said Mastoris attempted to flee but was captured. Police also found $11,000 in his possession. His preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Friday.
