The Mahoning Valley Eagles -- spring basketball club will hold tryouts at Hubbard High School for girls in grades 5-8 and 9-12. For girls in grades 5-8, tryouts will be March 19 and 21. RUNNING
The fourth National City Jeep Davis 5K & amp; Kids Romp -- will be May 11 at 8 a.m. at Lake Anna in Barberton. The Kids Romp is a free, non-competitive event for children 10 and under. All finishers will receive prizes. The cost to enter the 5K is $15 for entries postmarked by May 3. The cost will be $18 after May 3, including the day of the race. SOFTBALL
Salem Summer Leagues -- will hold a managers meeting for new and returning women's teams at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Memorial Building in Salem. The men's league is accepting new teams until April 1. Play begins April 29 Monday through Friday night at Kelley Park in Salem. For details, call 330-332-5512.
BASEBALL
BB Rooners and Baseball Systems -- will conduct a three-day pitching clinic for boys ages 9-12. Cost is $50 for three sessions and limited to 12 boys. Call Bryan Warner at 724-588-3621 for more details.
