Coroner investigated driver's death

AUSTINTOWN -- Mahoning County Coroner David M. Kennedy says Anthony Anzevino, 25, of North Roanoke Avenue, died early Tuesday after a traffic stop.
He was pronounced dead at 4:19 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth's Health Center. Kennedy said an autopsy will be part of the investigation.
A powdery white substance was found on Anzevino's shirt, nose and mouth, and suspected drugs and drug paraphernalia were found in his car when he was stopped, police said.
Anzevino was pulled over after a short police chase.
While on routine patrol at 2:16 a.m., an officer saw Anzevino's vehicle leaving a business on Canfield-Niles Road, which was closed at the time. The officer tried to stop the vehicle, but Anzevino refused, police said.
Other officers arrived and stopped the vehicle on Kirk Road, west of Turner Road.
Police said Anzevino was polite when he was taken to the police station. After a few minutes, the man began to act erratically, and paramedics were called. Anzevino fell over in a police interview room when the ambulance crew arrived, police said.
Police said they found a bag containing suspected marijuana, another bag containing suspected cocaine, and a marijuana pipe in Anzevino's car.
