4 felony drug counts
AUSTINTOWN -- Mahoning County deputy sheriffs arrested a Youngstown woman on four felony counts of trafficking in cocaine. Virginia Robinson-Catello, 21, of Connecticut Avenue, had warrants out for her arrest after secret indictments by a grand jury were unsealed.
She was arrested about 2:45 p.m. Reports do not say what led to the charges, which were the result of an investigation by the county drug task force and township police.
Multiple calls to 911
AUSTINTOWN -- A Youngstown man described by police as "highly intoxicated" was arrested Thursday after he was accused of calling 911 six times for no good reason.
The 39-year-old Maureen Drive man was charged by police with a felony charge of disruption of a public service. The man said in his last call that he was in a fight, police said. Police said they responded each time the man called and found no emergency.
Jailed on drug charges
MANSFIELD -- A 23-year-old Lisbon woman was in Richland County Jail pending her initial appearance today in municipal court here on a third-degree felony charge of attempting to convey drugs into a correctional facility.
The woman was arrested Thursday afternoon when she sold about a tenth of an ounce of heroin to an undercover state trooper at a prearranged Richland County location, with the understanding that the drugs would be brought into the Mansfield Correctional Institution, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The heroin has an estimated street value of $1,200, but inside the prison would sell for about $12,000, the patrol said.
The woman was also charged with minor misdemeanor possession of a small amount of marijuana. The patrol investigates allegations of criminal activity pertaining to state institutions.
