Struthers Gridiron 11, Boardman R & amp;J Trucking 2 -- Mike Duponty had three home runs and Dave Yash had two homers and a single. Ryan Spatholt also homered and singled. For R & amp;J, Eddie Roban doubled.Canfield Robert Senn 8, Poland LPL Financial 7 -- Marek Slipski drove in the winning run in extra innings. Jonathan Bastian had three hits and Bryan Stolte and Paul Sabol each had two hits. For Poland, Matt Ciavarella and Alan Gancias each scored twice.

Lazart 9, Bandits 1 -- Chris Aracich pitched a two-hitter. Mike White homered and Matt Lutz tripled.
SOFTBALL14-younger
Valley Sting Purple -- went undefeated to win the Mahoning Valley Umpires Association's NSA qualifier tournament. Kasey Karr threw a three-hitter with 13 strikeouts to lead the Sting to a 2-0 win over the Extreme in the title game. Ciera Urichich drove in seven runs and Lia Gordon and Jaclyn Carpenter each had seven hits as the Sting went 6-0 in the 20-team tournament. They also defeated Thunderbolts Black 11-7, Lady Warriors 11-0, Rattlers Blue 9-1, Top Guns 4-1 and Thunderbolts Black 7-1.

The Ohio Stars -- finished runner-up at the West End Silver Tournament at Csonka's Sports Complex in Lisbon. The Stars won three games and were led by pitchers Samantha Peters (who had a no-hitter), Nicole Horvath, Breanne Mincher and Jamie Hardie. The offense was led by Jamie Hardie and Kristen Stahl with seven hits each. Jackie Nentwick had six hits, followed by Courtney Porter and Kelly Sklenar with five each.
