CRAFT SHOWS

FESTIVALS
XSt. Patrick Church Festival will be held Thursday through Sunday at the church grounds, North Main Street and Park Avenue, Hubbard. Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Thursday, 6 p.m. to midnight Friday, 5 p.m. to midnight Saturday and 1 to 11 p.m. Sunday. A spaghetti dinner also will be served from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday in the church hall. XYoungstown-American Hungarian Federation of Churches will hold its 76th annual Hungarian Day Festival from 1 to 7 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Youngstown Hungarian Clubhouse, 2219 Donald Ave., Youngstown. Hungarian music will be played, and ethnic food and pastries will be available. Admission is $2. Raffles and door prizes are planned.
FUND RAISERS
XBig Brothers & amp; Big Sisters of Mahoning Valley will be the beneficiary of a grocery raffle being held until Sept. 15 at IGA Supercenters in Girard, Austintown, Lincoln Knolls, Canfield, Struthers and Hubbard. Tickets are $5 each and are available at the stores or at the Big Brothers & amp; Big Sisters office by calling (330) 545-0002. Drawing will be Sept. 22 with a grand prize of $1,600 in groceries. First prize will be $1,200 in groceries and grocery prizes for second and third prize will be $800 and $400, respectively.
XThe ninth annual Honda-Harley Tug-of-War Challenge will be held Saturday at the Lordstown Dairy Queen, 6780 Tod Ave. This will be the Gold Wing Road Riders Association annual motorcycle cruise and bike show. All makes and models are welcome, and registration will be held from 1 to 2:30 p.m. with first- through third-place trophies awarded in the following classes: touring, cruising, custom, trike and antique. Trophies also will be awarded and a 50-50 drawing also will be held to benefit Forum Health Tod Children's Hospital. PICNICS
XSt. David's Society of Youngstown and Niles Gymanfa Ganu Association will sponsor their fourth annual Mahoning Valley Welsh Picnic at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 10 at the Stacey Pavilion, Austintown Township Park, Kirk Road, Austintown. Cost is $10, and the menu will feature barbecued ribs, southern baked chicken, baked beans, potatoes au gratin, corn pudding, tossed salad, cookies, brownies, rolls and butter, tea and coffee. XLifeLine Missions will hold a garage sale at Shiloh Ministries, 1310 Shannon Road, Girard, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Proceeds will benefit the work of the organization in orphanages in St. Petersburg, Russia.
XQueen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday. A bag sale is planned for 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday. Refreshments will be available.
XSpringfield Township Historical Society will hold its second annual community and yard sale Friday and Saturday at the historical society on Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road, Petersburg. Lunch will be available at the historical society, and the museum will be open to the public.
XWestern Reserve Chapter of Coca-Cola Collectors Club will hold a flea market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the Garden Brook Center, 4820 state Route 5, N.E., north of Cortland. The event will be held rain or shine, and indoor and outdoor setups will be available. Admission is free.
XYellow Creek Presbyterian Church, 17365 Route 45, Wellsville, will hold its annual yard sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. There also will be a bake sale, and food will be available.
