RAY SWANSON | Keystoner Sharon adds coaches

Sharon School Directors have cast their nets across the state line into the Buckeye State to land coaches in two major sports for the upcoming seasons.
Winning the favor of the directors were Brookfield natives Bo Reichart, recently named the Tigers new head football coach, and Maureen O'Brien, a 1982 Brookfield alumna, for girls basketball.
Reichart, 30, replaces Sharon's all-time (and Mercer County's) winningest gridiron mentor, Jim Wildman.
O'Brien, 38, replaces Mary Jo Staunch, who resigned to spend more time with her family.
While O'Brien will be making her coaching debut at Sharon High this season, Reichart has been a member of Wildman's staff for the past five years.
Reichart played his school football under Reese Jones at Brookfield, going on to compete in college ball at the University of Toledo, from where he graduated in 1995. He also coached for one year at Hiram College as a defense line coach.
Reichart's hiring, by an 8-1 vote of the Sharon School Directors, turned into a controversial one with some questioning why long-time Sharon High assistant Mike Donato was not named to the position.
O'Brien had previously served as head basketball coach at Mathews High School and prior was an assistant coach at Brookfield.
She also coached on the elementary levels. She played several years with the Kennedy Catholic High School team.
