Propane alive in NABF play



STRUTHERS -- Youngstown Propane held off Kiski Strongland in the seventh inning Saturday to win 7-6 in the NABF Regional Tournament at Cene Park.
Trailing 7-4, Kiski plated two runs in the top of the seventh before falling short in the losers bracket game of the 18-and-under tournament.
Jared Bogan and Gary Hinkson each had three hits for Propane, while Michael Krieger and Phil Butch added two apiece. Paul Suhar drove in three runs for Propane.
Ed Bartolec earned the mound win for Propane, lasting six innings. Mike Smallwood pitched the final inning for the save.
Paul Henry was the losing pitcher.
Huntington Hounds 13, Youngstown Express 0: The Express, held to two hits, lost its first game of the tournament Saturday, in a winners bracket match-up with Huntington. Youngstown committed five errors.
