Teddy Bear Health Fair at Eastwood Mall
NILES -- Free immunizations and screenings are offered at the Teddy Bear Health Fair from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at the William M. Cafaro Head Start Center behind Dunham's at the Eastwood Mall. Shot records are required.
911 simulation training and fingerprinting/photo I.D.s are also available.
For children up to 6 years old, there will be free speech, hearing and developmental screenings. For children 1 to 6, there will be free dental, vision and lead screenings from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. only. For more information, call (330) 505-1391.
Educational series
AUSTINTOWN -- A free educational series for families dealing with Alzheimer's disease is offered at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 2305 S. Canfield-Niles Road, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 and Aug. 14. The sessions, offered by the Alzheimer's Association, are free, but registration is necessary. Cancer Society panel
LISBON -- The 2002 American Cancer Society Columbiana County Assessment Committee, 18 people who meet quarterly and discuss cancer issues such as prevention, detection and quality of life programs, will meet at noon Monday at Taste of Country, state Route 45.
Annual baby shower
