YOUNGSTOWN -- Knights of Columbus Bet Moroon Council 12539 of St. Maron Parish held election of officers at a meeting June 19.
Michael Essad was elected as grand knight for 2002-03. A third-degree knight, Essad is retired from General Motors Corp. in Lordstown. He has held the office of deputy grand knight since the charter of the council in 1998.
Associate officers elected were Atty. Scott Essad, deputy grand knight; the Rev. Gary George, chaplain; and Adam J. Guerrieri, council advocate.
