July 12
Criminal damaging: Someone placed a chocolate substance on the inside of a vehicle's gas cap in the 400 block of North Main Street.
Assault: A man reported his son was assaulted while he was at the Roosevelt School playground.
Theft: A woman reported someone stole her son's bicycle while he was at Jones Field.
Burglary: An apartment was broken into and various items were stolen in the 800 block of North Main Street.
July 13
Criminal damaging: A woman reported someone damaged an air conditioning unit at her rental property in the 800 block of Doris Drive.
Criminal damaging: Someone damaged a mailbox in the 300 block of Drummond Avenue.
July 17
Assault: A man reported being assaulted in the 100 block of West Liberty Street. The victim had a gash on his foot.
July 18
Criminal damaging: Someone deliberately drove a vehicle on one of the greens at Deer Creek Golf Course, 7691 E. Liberty St.
GIRARD
July 15
Assault: A woman reported a friend's stepdaughter kicked in her door and assaulted her at her residence in the 200 block of Church Hill. The victim suffered an injury to her wrist.
Attempted breaking and entering: Nothing was taken from a car, which had damage to its trunk lock, in the 10 block of Trumbull Avenue. The victim also discovered the door to his residence open when he came home.
Auto theft: A 1985 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen at a residence in the 1000 block of North Avenue.
Theft: A woman reported two men stole seven pairs of sunglasses at a doctor's office in the 300 block of South State Street.
Assault: A woman in the 100 block of West Second Street reported her 9-year-old son was assaulted by a 13-year-old juvenile.
July 16
Breaking and entering/theft: A car was broken into, and a compact disc player, a wristwatch, a pocket watch and a chain necklace were stolen in the 400 block of North St. Clair Avenue.
July 17
Vandalism: Someone deliberately cut the wires to a cable box at a residence in the 400 block of North Avenue.
Theft: Someone stole a set of golf clubs from a garage in the 400 block of Elruth Street.
Breaking and entering: A man in the 500 block of East Liberty Street reported someone broke into a vacant home in the 30 block of Front Street. Police found damage to the front porch, broken windows and other damage to the building.
Assault: A juvenile in the 100 block of Crumlin Avenue reported being assaulted at the Mount Carmel Festival. The victim had swelling on his face.
July 18
Theft: A woman reported about $300 missing from her purse at her residence in the 300 block of Plymouth Avenue.
Counterfeit: A man in the 40 block of Davis Street reported his daughter found a ripped counterfeit $5 bill on the ground.
