REGIONWorkers at Indalexthreaten to strike
GIRARD -- About 400 workers are threatening to go on strike at midnight tonight if a new labor contract is not reached at the Indalex aluminum extrusions plant here.
Officials from the company and United Steelworkers of America are continuing to talk. The contract expires today. The plant, formerly owned by Easco, was bought by Caradon Extrusions of England in 1999.
Indalex has two plants in Niles, which have separate contracts that aren't expiring.
