Late bucket lifts Lordstown past ASJP, 52-50



LORDSTOWN -- Emily Freudenrich grabbed an offensive rebound in the paint and scored a basket with three seconds remaining to lift Lordstown to a 52-50 win over Ashtabula Sts. John & amp; Paul in an East Suburban Conference girls basketball game Friday.
Freudenrich, a 5-foot-8 senior center, had 20 points and 11 rebounds for Lordstown (4-8, 4-6).
Cortney Pelyak scored 16 points, while Natalie Bailey had eight rebounds for Lordstown.
Lori Perdue scored 14 points for Sts. John & amp; Paul.
Southington 69, Fairport 42: SOUTHINGTON -- Rebecca Derr scored a season-high 31 points for the Wildcats (7-7, 5-4).
Southington built a commanding 47-18 lead by intermission.
Derr, 5-8 junior forward was 13-27 from the field and scored 17 of her points in the second quarter.
Rachel Ullinskey chipped in with 11 points.
