The Cardinals outscored the Red Devils 14-4 en route to a 53-47 win.

CAMPBELL -- The Cardinal Mooney High basketball team used a 14-4 third-quarter advantage Tuesday to overtake Campbell Memorial, 53-47.
Campbell led 27-21 at halftime as the Cardinals hit on just 7 of 30 shots from the floor (23 percent).
Terrell Harris scored 11 of his game-high 19 points for the Red Devils in the opening half. Joe Burke scored 10 of his team-high 16 points for the Cardinals in the first half.
The third quarter turned the game around as Campbell hit on just one of 13 shots while Mooney connected on 6 of 11.
Baskets by Rashad Williams kept the game time at 31-31.
David Zidian scored to give the lead to Mooney for good with a little more than two minutes to play in the period.
"We ran a match-up zone on them, which really did a good job for us," Mooney coach Nick Bellino said. "We tried to play man on them in the first half, but we were not able to stay with it.
"Burke and Williams did a great job for us all night and Curtis Ingram really played well in the second half, handling their pressure on defense," Bellino said.
Improvement: Ingram, held to just one point in the first half, scored nine points in the second half.
Ingram also had 12 rebounds while Williams had 14 points for Mooney (6-4).
In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals led by as many as 10 points before the Red Devils were able to close to within 52-48 on a 3-point goal by Ricky Quinn with 24 seconds to play.
Harris was the only Campbell player in double figures.
Anthony Wright and Mike Hardin scored eight points each, and Wright added 11 rebounds.
Dominates boards: Campbell (5-7) won the boards 43-37 but suffered 19 turnovers to 14 for Mooney.
"We played good enough defensively to win, but when you just can't put the ball in the basket you are not going to win," Campbell coach Bob Fick said.
Campbell was 20 of 60 overall (33 percent) and just 8 of 31 (26 percent) in the second half.
Mooney hit on 19 of 52 overall (37 percent) but was 12 of 22 (55 percent) from the field in the second half.
The Cardinals also outscored the Red Devils at the foul line, 15-5.
