YOUNGSTOWN -- A 32-year-old homeless man who was shot in the parking lot of the McDonald's on Fifth Avenue ran inside the restaurant, yelling for help as he fell to the floor, his hand bleeding.
Rodney Davis, with a last-known address in Warren, suffered a gunshot wound to the left hand at about 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, police reports show. He was in satisfactory condition in St. Elizabeth Health Center this morning.
Witnesses said Davis had run up to a vehicle in the parking lot yelling, "Help me," as a minivan with three men inside approached and the van's driver got out.
Davis ran, attempting to pull a gun from his waistband and left pant leg, a witness told police.
Davis and the driver struggled over the weapon and it fired before the driver took the gun, re-entered the van and fled.
It was one of two shootings in the city Tuesday.
Arrests: Four men were arrested after an unrelated shooting into a home on the East Side, police reports show. Alexander Quianes, 21, was shot in the left shoulder at about 7:25 p.m. at his girlfriend's apartment on Magnolia Avenue.

Quianes said a friend of his was dating the wife of one of the shooters and that he, the friend and another man had fought with the shooters in the past.
At least two small children were playing on the street at the time of the shooting, police reports show. Nine shell casings were found around and in the building.
