ALISON PARLINKJOSEPH PROTAIN
CANFIELD -- Dr. Alison Parlink and Dr. Joseph Protain exchanged marriage vows at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 26 at Old North Church.
The Rev. Dr. Brent Allen officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Parlink of Boardman and the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Protain Sr. of Struthers.
A reception honoring the newlyweds followed at Antone's Banquet Centre in Boardman.
After a honeymoon to the Bahamas, the couple are living in Cleveland.
The bride wore a white gown of silk-faced satin designed with spaghetti straps and embellished with crystals and Venise lace.
Her sister, Joely Johnson, was matron of honor, and serving as bridesmaids were Robin Protain, the groom's sister-in-law; Danielle Mancini; Dr. Jennifer Roncone; and Dr. Cindy Lavery. They wore platinum-colored gowns. Flower girl was the bride's cousin, Mackenzie Compton.
James Protain Jr. performed the duties of best man for his brother, and groomsmen were Patrick Brennan, Dr. Nicholas Atanasoff, Dr. James Chianese and Dr. Brian Michaluk.
The bride is a graduate of the Ohio University School of Medicine in Athens and is a pediatric resident at the Cleveland Clinic.
The groom graduated from the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City, Mo., and is a surgical resident at the Cleveland Clinic South Pointe.
